Hamar Laser has now released the new and highly advanced STEALTH series of Laser Shaft Alignment systems, revealing an impressive level of standard features including integrated Bluetooth wireless communications, automatic "sweep" measurement mode, water resistance of all components to IP67 and a high resolution VGA colour screen hand-held alignment control unit, as well as industry leading alignment accuracy and ease of use.

The range topping S-680 Laser Shaft Alignment System features a 5-axis measurement capability, and is able to display all vertical and horizontal live move data and graphics in a single operation. Its extensive standard suite of alignment software covers a very wide range of applications and is complemented by a robust and versatile shaft mounting system.

As well as Bluetooth wireless operation and a fully live alignment display, features include Pass Mode for snappy uncoupled alignments and a handy Pause Function to allow measurements over multiple arcs within the accessible rotation range.

The newly integrated Super Linear PSD target cell technology, combined with Hamar's patented dual beam laser principle, provides measurement resolution of 0.0005mm to deliver industry leading accuracy. The pulsed dual beam system also provides effective cancellation of extraneous background light interference and allows a high precision 5-axis measurement capability to be integrated in this compact unit.

Hamar's new Couple5 software is extensively updated with fresh and snappy graphics, but maintains the simple 5-step checklist principle that has proven to be so easy to use with previous Hamar systems. The software runs on an open platform Windows Mobile 6.0 computer and provides crystal clear live colour graphics via the full VGA high resolution touch screen. The controller itself is a high performance ruggedised PDA, also sealed to IP67. Data input is via the touch screen and a keypad.

Overall, the Couple5 alignment software delivers outstanding ease of use for laser operators at any level and with minimal system training.

Each component of the laser alignment system utilises the latest technology Lithium Polymer batteries to provide excellent battery life, with the Laser providing 30+ hours and the Target and Controller providing up to 12 hours of operation on a single charge.

The entire laser shaft alignment system is professionally packaged in a compact and heavy duty hard-case fitted with die-cut foam to support and protect all the system components and accessories.
